Why Revive? A unique and inspiring new service
April 28, 2020The tiles in your bathroom have seen better days. The grout is beyond cleaning, the silicone is mouldy and no longer 100% watertight. The shower glass is riddled with hardwater staines and grease deposits that won’t shift no matter what cleaning product I use.
All is not lost. A new bathroom is not cheap. It runs into several thousands once you account for the old one being removed, new tiles, new bath/shower/basin/toilet. Then there’s labour/pumbing. It’s a big project.
Tiles are durable. Making good what you already have is an option to save money. It might not necessarily be a long term fix but a thorough clean, grout recolour, silicone replacement and shower glass rejuvenation could knock your bathroom back in to shape for a few years – and it will only cost you a few hundred quid to make your bathroom look like new.
Most bathrooms can be resuced within 1-2 days with very little downtime.
Some old bathrooms were made to last. The modern ones not so much so and for many the old style bathroom is more appealing.
Another option is to paint old tiles. This is something that is becoming more and more popular and is very affordable and easy to do (or you could get Revive to do it for you!).
Just changing the colour of your tile grout can give a bathroom a completely new look and there are a number of grout colours to choose from. Even silicone is available in many colours besides the popular white.
In the past we’ve also found that by removing the old silicone and replacing it with a good quality silicone, we have in fact fixed leaks. Revive also regrout any areas where the grout has worn away.
We are in financially uncertain times. New bathrooms may be on the wish list but not affordable. Our compromise might just be the perfect solution to help bring your bathroom back to life.
